The African Development Bank Group invites Expressions of Interest from firms for the following:
A Study on the Socio-Economic and Health Impact of Access to Safe Drinking Water and Improved Sanitation in Two regional Member Countries (Ghana and Madagascar)
The Study will look at the socio-economic and health impact of Rural Water and Sanitation Supply Initiatives (RWSSI) in two regional member countries (Ghana and Madagascar) of the African Development Bank Group. The RWSSI approach, that the African Development Bank developed in 2000, is to mainstream rural water supply and sanitation development into government sector programming, including support for the development of programmes where these do not exist. The Bank envisages to conduct studies among populations that benefit from the access to improved water and sanitation services in order to evaluate the reduction of the water related mortality and morbidity indicators as well as increase of the positive socio-economic indicators that are due to the integrated actions within these programmes.
Deadline for written EOI: 17 Hrs on 03 November 2008.
