At its 275th meeting on 3 May 2011, the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) approved financing for the following three water projects:
- US$ 121.17 million for the Balkan Velayat Water Supply Project in Turkmenistan
- US$ 11.92 million for the National Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in the provinces of Delgado and Gaza, Mozambique
- US$ 2.10 million in additional financing for the Water Supply Project in the Tajik capital city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan (Operations Approved by the President) (totaling the Bank’s contribution to the project to US$ 11.3 million)
In April 2011, the IDB approved US$ 21 million for water availability enhancement projects and a water network for three areas in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.

May I site an example of our problem here in our country -Philippines in particular province of lanao del norte. we have a poor water supply due to soil problem. we have planned a new drill of source but we have limited funds. we ask help of our local government but they cannot sustain. our problem in baroy lanao del norte urge me to do this website help. one of my relatives in baroy build a mosque but we cannot expand or build more buildings due to the said problem.
