The International Water Association (IWA) Specialist Group on Sustainability in the Water Sector has announced a call for nominations for the 2008 Prizes for Excellence in Sustainable Urban Water Management. These awards recognise and celebrate distinctive contributions in terms of research or innovation in the practical realisation of sustainable urban water.
Winning entries will be showcased and prizes (US$ 2,000 for winners and US$1,000 for two runners-up in each category) awarded during the IWA World Water Congress in Vienna, 7-12 September 2008.
Three short-listed nominees in each category will be expected to register for, and attend, the IWA World Water Congress at their own expense. These short-listed nominees will be able to register for the Congress at student rates.Deadline for nominations: 1 June 2008.
